PSL 11 2026 Prize Money: Full Breakdown of All Three PCB Awards
Prize

The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the complete prize money structure for PSL 11. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made the official announcement on 21 November 2025. The total prize pool is $1,000,000 — the largest in PSL history. The winning team will receive $500,000 (approximately 14.0 crore PKR). The runners-up will receive $300,000 (approximately 8.4 crore PKR). A brand-new $200,000 award has also been introduced for the best franchise contributing to cricket development.

The winner and runner-up are decided after the final on 3 May 2026. The season has 44 matches across six venues, starting with the opening ceremony on 26 March 2026. Eight teams take part and the top four qualify for the playoffs. The prize fund gives every team in the knockouts a clear financial reward for success.

Lahore Qalandars are the defending champions after beating Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 10 final. The two new teams, Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz, will aim to make an impact in their first season.

Prize money breakdown

Champions — $500,000

The winner of PSL 11 receives $500,000 (approximately 14.0 crore PKR). This is the top prize and is paid by the PCB to the winning franchise after the final on 3 May 2026.

Runners-up — $300,000

The runners-up receive $300,000 (approximately 8.4 crore PKR). This represents an increase over previous editions, reflecting the PCB's commitment to rewarding the finalists.

Best Franchise — Cricket Development Award — $200,000

A completely new award introduced for PSL 11. The PCB will award $200,000 (approximately 5.6 crore PKR) to the franchise judged to have made the best contribution towards cricket development. This includes investment in youth academies, regional talent scouting, coaching programmes and grassroots infrastructure. This award shifts the evaluation of franchises beyond match results alone and encourages long-term investment in Pakistan's cricket ecosystem.

Total prize pool

The three awards combined bring the total prize pool to $1,000,000 — approximately 28.0 crore PKR. This is a landmark figure for the league and one of the strongest prize structures among T20 franchise competitions in the region.

When prizes are awarded

Only the champion and runner-up earn on-field prizes. The development award is evaluated separately by the PCB based on franchise initiatives throughout the season. That is what makes the final and the playoff matches so important alongside each franchise's off-field programme.

What it means for teams

Part of team income

For the eight franchises, the prize fund is one part of a larger financial picture. Teams also earn from broadcast revenue, sponsorship deals and gate receipts. Half a million dollars for the champion, three hundred thousand for the runner-up, and two hundred thousand for the development award are all meaningful sums. They reward the squads and the back-room staff who navigate a long group stage and the pressure of knockout cricket, as well as those investing in the future of Pakistani cricket.

Extra edge in knockouts

The prize money adds an extra edge to the final and the Eliminator matches. Beyond the trophy and the bragging rights, there is a direct financial incentive to win. Franchises can use the prize money to invest in their squad or their setup for the following season.

Context and league ambition

PSL as a leading league

The PCB has positioned PSL as one of the world's leading T20 leagues since 2016. The prize money for 2026 fits that ambition. The league has grown from five teams to eight and has moved from draft to auction for PSL 11. A full home season across six venues and a $1 million prize pool reinforce the message that PSL is a competition where success is recognised.

The development award signals a new era

The new franchise development award is the most significant structural change to PSL's prize structure since the league began. It signals that the PCB wants franchises to think beyond a single season and to invest in the long-term growth of cricket across Pakistan.

The chase for the title

Title count

Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United have three titles each. Lahore are the current champions and will be among the favourites again. Karachi Kings, Multan Sultans, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi have all won the trophy before. Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz will try to make a mark in their first season.

The playoff race

The group stage has 40 matches and each team plays 10 games. The top four in the points table go through to the Qualifier, Eliminator 1, Eliminator 2 and the Final. For the full fixtures, points table and teams, follow our PSL 2026 coverage.
